Log.d() vs Log.wtf() 🔥
Every Android developer knows Log.d(), but Log.wtf() is a different beast.
Log.d("TAG", "Fetching user profile")
Log.wtf("TAG", "This state should NEVER happen!")
Log.d() → Normal debugging information.
Log.wtf() → What a Terrible Failure! Used for impossible or critical conditions.
Use Log.wtf() when:
• The app reaches an impossible state.
• A serious bug needs immediate attention.
• You want the issue to stand out in crash reports.
Rule of thumb:
> If users can recover, use Log.e().
If your assumptions about the system are completely broken, use Log.wtf().
Great engineers don't just write logs—they communicate the severity of problems through them.
